Who you are and whose you are
Understanding your new identity in Christ is essential to live in the newness of life and essential to have a relationship with God.
You are limited by your revelation and belief of who you are and whose you are.
Relationship with God
Your understanding of your identity largely impacts your relationship with God, but at the same time, in order to grow in revelation about your identity, you need a relationship with God.
You must seek God and His truth for yourself you come to understand your identity and for it to be a reality to you.
Walking by faith
Faith is part of the journey to being established in your identity.
If you struggle to believe what the Word says about you, then the best thing you can do is to choose to believe the Word by faith and that it's true. Thank God in prayer that it's the reality about you even if you struggle to believe it.
Now on the other hand, Satan will challenge what you believe, and he will try to steal your identity from you through lies. This is where living by faith becomes really important; to cling onto the truth in the face of all adversity (even if everything in your life seems to say the opposite; thoughts, feelings, situations, people, physical and spiritual manifestations, etc. It does not matter, do not believe it).
